SUGAR STEALERS

Sugar Stealers is an Arts Council England funded community project providing a safe and inclusive space for Nottingham based women and non-binary people to explore their creativity. Through offering free creative workshops, Sugar Stealers encourages healing, progression & wellbeing for people from a range of different backgrounds, ages and ethnicities.

To showcase the work and talent of the people who had attended workshops, Sugar Stealers decided to stage an immersive and inclusive exhibition.

During this role I worked collaboratively and independently in creating both print and digital assets for promoting the exhibition. This ranged from creating an exhibition poster featuring my illustrations, to independently producing and printing a Zine to capture the energy and vision of Sugar Stealers, and bringing the stories of members to life.

spirit and importance of the space

ZINE

A 36-page printed Zine to go alongside the exhibition. Featuring images of the some of the artwork, poems created in workshops, quote posters, and individual stories, the Zine aims to capture the true essence of Sugar Stealers.

The Zine was forwarded on to Arts Council England to help reinforce a bid for future funding.
